Teaching and Learning our own natural resources and cultural values

Education is unique in all aspects of life. It is the powerhouse of people’s freedom and success in society. In the sphere of secular learning and religion and its relation to education, there is no substitute for quality and higher education. To be a powerful individual or thing, the individual must be taught about things that can be learned and studied. According to dictionary.com education is the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life. With such a definition reminds us that the State of Hawaii can perceive education from any aspect. Let us work and remember that we are living on an Island remotely isolated from 49 States on the Mainland and from other countries. Thus, discovering new local ideas and establishing new authentic industries for our Island of Hawaii is at the heart of our democracy.

We must begin now to fill gaps in our educational system and curriculum starting from preschool by teaching and studying the uniqueness of natural resources and cultural values, which can only be found here in the State of Hawaii. The State of Hawaii needs to establish, build, and expand new authentic local industries here in the State of Hawaii.

The Islands of Hawaii are uniquely incomparable in so many ways when it comes to natural resources and cultural values. For instance, we have an active volcano and different rocks, lava, and stones to learn and study. We have an uninterrupted space, sphere, and remote distance to learn and study. We have a blue ocean, profound sea floor, waves, fish, and reefs to learn and study. We have natural underwaters, rich soils, high mountains, unique trees, and crops to study and learn about. We have cultural values, beliefs, cultures, traditions, and diverse languages to study and learn. We must use the virtue of our democracy and the uniqueness of our natural resources and cultural values that authentically belong and are found here in the State of Hawaii to advance our education, improve our economy, support family units, and diversify our democracy.

To accomplish such educational ideas, we must commit ourselves to build a one of a kind educational system for students and residents that will benefit us all here in the State of Hawaii in years to come. We must commit ourselves to the teaching and studying of local natural resources and cultural values to establish authentic local industries, build new schools and upgrade current buildings with modern technology and materials, and support the teachers so they can focus on teaching our children.

Infrastructures, teachers, student outcomes

The State of Hawaii must surrender with a commitment to incorporate the teaching and studying of natural resources and cultural values into the school curriculum to establish, build, and innovate authentic industries to promote cutting-edge quality education and proprietary products and services. When the State of Hawaii is committed to such an idea the future generations will fuel our economy with proprietary products made in Hawaii, increase family wealth with inexpensive mortgage loans and payments, stop residents from leaving the expensive cost of living in the State of Hawaii, and reduce local crimes often happen due to overly anxiety, and uphold the virtue of our United States’ democracy.

Given the idea to learn, teach, and innovate new authentic local industries, the State of Hawaii must be truthful to a commitment to the construction of new schools and the upgrading of current buildings with modern technology and materials. All classrooms must provide a comfortable and effective learning environment for both teachers and students. All school properties must be configured with safe drop-off and pick-up areas for school buses and family transportation so parents don’t have to worry about their children’s lives being threatened by unexpected incidents and malicious intruders. All school properties must have hygiene bathrooms furnished with soaps, paper towels, and air fresheners to prevent users from germs and viruses. All school properties must have a highclass cafeteria to provide three meals for every student because it is important for our children’s learning.

Last but not the least, the State of Hawaii must commit and agree that all teachers are to be paid sufficiently and incentivized appropriately with affordable homes and flexible rental options. All teachers need financial support to care for their family unit. When teachers’ family is well-taken care of their level of focus and commitment to preparing effective lesson plans, teaching effectively of children, grading quizzes and exams promptly, attending after-school meetings spontaneously, and making contact with parents precisely will be shown in students’ outcome. Likewise, all teachers must be supported so they can all have quality time with their own families at home. All teachers are to be supported by more frequent innovative training, awards, and recognition to keep our valuable teachers with unparalleled credentials, professional elites are not to be found in many of our democratic societies.
